Hello, fellow lancers.

Now, i know this has been a request for a while, and sometimes for some very... illegal reasons. What i need is either a link to that blasted file, which i cannot find, or for someone to make a CMP exporter plug-in for 3DS max. The reason is not that i don't have milkshape, but because milkshape is having trouble handling the utter hugeness of our model.

I'm talking a HUGE model. No, i'm not going to tell you why, its a secret project of our mod team

In any case, i would greatly appreciate either a link or a promise to create one. Thank you.

Huge, as in high-poly?

Um... if MS3D's current versions are having trouble with the polycount, aren't you concerned about in-game performance?

If we're talking huge, as in size... well... I've built truely gigantic objects with FLModel Tool, and they work great. The only trouble's getting SURs to work with huge things.

I guess what I'm really trying to say is that I wouldnt' hold my breath for a 3DS CMP exporter. If it was a stand-alone app., then it might be a good idea, but a plugin for 3DS would basically either require users to spend $1200 for a legal seat... or to be running a pirated copy of software. Making a plugin would be tantamount to supporting piracy of 3DS, which is already rampant, and would probably be frowned on by Discreet for obvious reasons

If you're willing to trust my discretion, I'd be willing to take a look at the geometry you're having problems exporting and see what constructive suggestions I have. No promises, but perhaps I can get it working right where others have failed.

High-poly AND huge . The problem is that when i go to export the model using the FL cMP exporter, it all goes well until i want to save the file. I save it and then get a strange error, something about the texture coordinate engine failing or something.... i'll get the exact error message soon.

AH! Disregard this, i upgraded to the beta and it works fine now! Thank you for your time
