UTF-Editor problem?

Perhaps I am the only one experiencing this, but quite often when I enter a new value into a node using string, the UTF Editor adds letters after I have updated. Everything I have tried with going back into re-edit those extra letters fails because everytime, those letters are back after I click update. Anyone know any way to fix this issue?

Given that it's a stand-along application, and does not (I think) make use of other 3rd-party libraries... my guess would be that you have a corrupted MFC library in your copy of Windows. I'd run System File Checker (insert winXP CD, go to run, and type, "sfc /scannow", to see whether you can't repair this.

no I know exactly what Alderbaran is referring to.When you try to fill the node Material>type value with DcDt it will append a gibberish "/" character to the end.
