Freelancer CMP Exporter for GMAX

I would like to see a CMP Exporter made for GMAX made, if possible. That would save a big headache on transfering things from GMAX to Milkshape 3D. Not to mention, that would give a more people a chance to make a ship they want because GMAX is 100% free.

Being able to do everything in GMAX would be so nice. You can already, it's just the problem is when you export to .MDL, all the hardports you labelled are gone, which is a major pain. Also you have to retexture everything in Milkshape 3D all over again.

I don't want to hear "just model in Milkshape 3D", because I shouldn't have to. GMAX is a much better program and much easier to use. So if there is some one out there (hint, hint Mario "HCI" Brito) that can script a plugin for GMAX, I would worship the ground they walk on, rather, the seat they sit at. Thanks for reading!

Ah do i hear the first person willing to stump up the $400 (or something close) to purchase licence for making modding kits for gmax? Go on my son! Get ya wallet out and help all the gmax fans!

Um... well, since I got ahold of Chris Cookson and got the latest/greatest/last versions of his GMAX-->MD3 exporter, which then allows you to export to MS3D and then to CMP... I think that it's relatively easy to make and use GMAX models in FL now.

That said... Anton, maybe you should get a campaign going here on TLR and get people to donate enough $$ to you or HcL to get that license... it'd be sweet if we didn't have to go through as many tertiary stages to make CMPs as we generally have to do right now
