FLEd-ids error

Whenever I try to save an info card to a new number, I get this error:
"Error: BeginUpdateResource failed: 19"
I cannot save any files in it; they all give me this same stupid thing.
Can anyone tell me how I
1) am supposed to be able to save without this error
2) can tell if a ids number is taken or not, please?

This is extremely annoying, as I have followed the directions to the letter, but I get this same blasted error every time I try to save something in there.

Thank you.

>"Error: BeginUpdateResource failed: 19"
I'm pretty sure this is due to the .dll being marked "read-only"

Can anyone tell me how I
1) am supposed to be able to save without this error
2) can tell if a ids number is taken or not, please?

1) use windows explorer to clear the "read-only" property on the .dll's

2) put the ids # in the 'get ids_name' and 'get ids_info' boxes and see if anything comes up

What if I get some xml code "<#$TEXTsomething-else...>" and "No information available" when i punch in a number - say, 66615? Does this mean the number is free?
And usually when i enter a number and press get ids_name/info, it will come up with a blank edit box, but down at the bottom left corner, that status box thing changes. What I mean is that it will say something like "Infocards.dll" or "modinfo.dll" and give a name number. This happens with almost any number I enter; the big box is empty, but I get changing status box thing in the left corner. If this happens, does this mean that that number is already taken?

Thanks for the help; I am going to try changing read-only .dll. Hope that works!

rather then activating your mod then making the changes to the freelancer directory, set the path of the FLids to your mods folder in the mod managers directorty and edit the infocards there. (you will need a copy of the freelancer.ini in your mods exe folder)

So which .dll file does the FLEd-ids write your infocards into? Which one will I have to make available in a FLmod file so that my info cards appear in the game?

BTW, I made all my .dll files NOT read-only, but I haven't had time to try FLEd-ids yet to see if that works. Hope it works!
Thanks.

It worked Made all my .dll files not read-only. Now I can change/add infocards.

**edit**

Nevermind, emailed dixi instead as they no longer read forums.

The issue was in regards to preface and postface to XML Data Strings in infocards.dll and that FLEd-ids doesn't pre/post fix appropriate values for new or edited entries.
