Please let me know about any irregularities from the TRC

http://www.ziegelt.de/FlCalc.zip

There have been some errors reported that for some people there is no list of bases or no list of systems.

some others told me the calculator starts calcing and finishes, but no entries are shown !!

Please ler me know any detail - and include the DebugOut... file which is loacted in the TRC's directory.

Just tested it with Evo 1.27

This seems to be the problem:

Thanks so far

I found out the problem causing the exception.
There is a localization problem with my tool. The inis aren't parsed correctly.
Soetimes it happens that a commata instead of a point is used for floating point values, and sometimes there is no existing value for a name in an ini file.

I am sitting on the solution.

The error with no FL installed should be fixed :-) The code for TRC is used from my earlier tool the ini Editor.
This one will be the next on my list :-)

And here it is, the new Version of TRC version 2.0.9 build 21

All reported Errors should be fixed for now !
Please try it and report errors to [email protected]

Much fun in trading :-)

Hi,
it´s me again, trying to get this thing to work with evo 1.27.
Well now it does calculate something and it does show some results, but most of them are wrong. Don´t know where the proggy gets the info from, but the best traderoutes are not mentioned (even if i give it the source, destination and the commodity it wont show a result).

Here is a sniplet of the debug file :
--snip
[2004-01-20 08:51:44[Error Conversion Exception StrToFloat(1.300000): EConvertError:'1.300000' is not a valid floating point value
[2004-01-20 08:51:44[Error Conversion Exception StrToFloat(2.9): EConvertError:'2.9' is not a valid floating point value
[2004-01-20 08:51:44[Error Conversion Exception StrToFloat(2.250000): EConvertError:'2.250000' is not a valid floating point value
[2004-01-20 08:51:44[Error Conversion Exception StrToFloat(2.450000): EConvertError:'2.450000' is not a valid floating point value
[2004-01-20 08:51:44[Error Conversion Exception StrToFloat(0.500000): EConvertError:'0.500000' is not a valid floating point value
[2004-01-20 08:51:44[Error Conversion Exception StrToFloat(0.500000): EConvertError:'0.500000' is not a valid floating point value
[2004-01-20 08:51:44[Error Conversion Exception StrToFloat(1.500000): EConvertError:'1.500000' is not a valid floating point value
[2004-01-20 08:51:44[Error Conversion Exception StrToFloat(100.500000): EConvertError:'100.500000' is not a valid floating point value
[2004-01-20 08:51:44[Error Conversion Exception StrToFloat(0.462100): EConvertError:'0.462100' is not a valid floating point value
--snip
This goes on for pages and pages (498kb file ).

Anyway I think it´s a great tool, just not in combination with the Evo mod.

Is it possible make the bases/systems/commodities in the "Choose location" down menu order alphabetically? It will make working with the program a lot easier and faster.

Finished the next build,

Evo 1.7 Mod is now supported, and other m,ods should be more stable now.
The localization problem should be fixed now either ! Hope so :-)

Next will be:
X Swap From / To Button [ finished
o Consideration of Perishable goods,
o Goods which take more then 1 cargo point :-) [in work
X Alphabethical order of bases (gets a little tricky) [ finished
o maybe (realy maybe) the jump distance for the items base->base

I'm getting all kinds of errors w/ evolutions 1.28. the bases are not in alphabetical order, when you radio button the commodities instead of all your only choice is '1' . no mention of the new commodities.
I get the exception errors " TRC has encountered an exception error. to continue on press 'yes' otherwise press 'no' to exit. so I press yes. then when I'm running a planet Honshu to Honshu system check, I get another error just like before and in pressing 'yes' the check just stops. what it generated is still up there, but it's unfinished.
also, it takes FOREVER to load up. deleting the temp file time is obnoxious.
just wondering if there is some coding stuff you could do to speed that up. I remember when Data Storm did a re-code/code clean up and the read time dropped by about a 5th.
love the tool in that it'll read the mods. it just needs tweakin' for a latest and greatest. plus the fact no one else has put out one since yours. you're it!
thanks for your efforts. lord knows I couldn't do this.

Long time since...

As I told everyone contacting me, I lost all my sources in a drives crash.
This is why I didn't recode anything :-)
Problem is to parse all neccessary ini files everytime again, when a mod is activated.
All theese steps need a big big amount of time. I have to parse which files are for the mod, parse which files are the used files, read the dll files, check for inconsitencies, unify the values, as some inis are . encoded, sme are , encoded.

After all of that I have to read the infos on comos and prices from bases and cross link them all.

Thus would need a piece of time ;-)
Its not the same as to read the infos once and safe them to a database.

Yours
Joghthyrn
