IONCROSS: Battleships

If I use IonCross to give a player a battleship, is there any way to give them an appropriate shield and/or turrets?

in the Victor's MP enhancement mod (the mod they use in IONCROSS) no capital ships have shields EVER but the turrets come with the battleship.
