View icons and pictures

What program can I use that will allow me to view the SUR and 3db icons and pictures.

sur files can't be vieuwed (edited) yet and 3db pictures u have to extract with the utf_editor

To be more presise, there isn't any picures in a .3db*. You can find the most part of them (cursor, icon, ...) in .txm. Look, for example, at the SCREENS folder : there is one file : cursor.txm. If you open it with UTFEditor and go trought the nodes, you'll find, at last, a lot of files (MIP0, MIP1, MIP2, ...). If you select one of them and press "Export" and save the file in .tga then open it with Photoshop (for example), the you'll find the cursors (a part of all). But, to see whatt will realy appear, don't forget to check the Alpha chanel (transparency).
That's all.

*why ? because this is a 3d compilation ! 3d >> 3db

icon 3db files contain 3d data (a very small square to be precise) AND the texture/picture. just find open the file an extract the MIP0 bit in the "Texture library" branch. call it by the name in the branch above it and open it/edit it in your editing/viewing program.

American Scientists spent millions developing the perfect writing utensil; It writes in Zero-gravity, upside down, under water, in space... The Russians used a Pencil.
