hmm Ok firt, great and very handy tool Dixi.
But I do seem to have some trouble with it, it works fine for checking & finding ids names and ids info numbers. However if I try to use it to add an info card or edit one, whan I click save ids info, it asks me to confirm, I do and in the status bar at the bottom it says "saving infocard", and it just sits there and my hard drive cranks and my system gets very slow. It stays like this for several minutes, if I open my close program dialogue, it says the program is not responding, but the HD is still going, it creates a file called RCXE306.TMP in the directory that the dll is in and this file is about 700 meg. After about 5-10 minutes I end up closing the program with the close program dialogue box.

Is it supposed to take that long?
shoud the temp file be 700 meg for a 90k dll file to compile?
Am I doing something wrong?

I use windows ME and have the most recent download you have posted in this thread.

This is a very handy tool, it saves so much time making new infocards, keep up the good work.

I too tried the editor and it will get stuff from the info card just fine but I cannot get it to save any changed information. I get the error: BeginUpdateResource failed 19 message when I try to save. I can't figure out what I could possibly be doing wrong. I use XP but others say they use it and it works... I don't get it. Could you perhaps write a small help file or readme for this thing. I think I am doing what I am supposed to but I must be doing something dumb 'cause it won't save anything for me! Even if I just call up an infocard file like from an add-on, say the Corvette, and don't even change anything it will not save the file. If I change a couple of words it still won't save the file. What do I have to do?

you get errors because the files are "read only". That means you can't write over; for reading only; no writing.

goto freelancer\exe and turn off all file attributes

1. select all files: ctrl A
2. mouse right click, then choose Properties from the menu
3. click on the "read only" attribute to turn off

kind of late i guess, but I never thanked Dixi for making the App, and I use it like everyday...

i need help i have the new tool so i go to res id to Ids_name/ids_info i go to mei info.dll and give the Recource 3 on than convert i have a number than i give the number in Get ids-info the tool schow me the info then i take a new info in it and save ids-info .Ok

than close the tool next i open this give my number in get ids_info but the old info is init where is my newest info why cant it save ???

I don't know if this has already been mentioned but can this program visualy attach hartpoints to ships? If it is not able to do it right now can u tell me of a VERY simple program that attached hardpoints visualy? And if u ever get it able to do that let us know.
