2 Final StarLancer Questions

Hey all,

FINALLY beat the game (oldie but goodie, especially with the current lack of sims) - took me FOREVER to get the best ending (just couldn't save Steiner), but finally managed! Oh, and for those who said the NOVA cannon is only useful on stationary targets, hogwash - best weapon in the game with a bit of practice - can eat fighters for lunch! hehe Quick couple of questions:

1.) Instant Action - has anyone actually gotten to the "end" of this if there is one? Is it possible?

2.) I haven't been able to get any file extractors/editors to work. I was hoping to be able to get a "supership" for Instant Action to see how far I could get to explore 1. The Grendel is just too painful. =oP

1. yes - but only a few of the best SL players did manage this in the past

Thanks. So, does anyone know an easy way to modify ships in XP? I've tried several downloads here, but none appear to work for me. Most have runtime errors or say BAD file when I try to open the hogs. ???

A tag on question to this... is it possible to fly instant action in any other ship besides the Grendal (short of 'ship switching' with SL Edit?)

I don't think so if you mean in the regular game. Seems kind of weird that they only let you fly that ship, but that's the way it seems to be designed.

And unfortunately, I don't think I can get any of the editors to work on XP, so I can't switch ships. (Which is kinda a shame as I think I could probably beat Instant Action moderatly easily in something else, but I don't really have the desire to do it in the Grendel as I just don't like that ship).
