about the faction...which files i need to edit? maybe i missed something...

I know how to make a faction from scrtch i did it in the mod i am creating now it works. it dosent crash either i it is easy as i will show you now

here we go this is my first tutorial hope it works

well,i did the same thing.but i want to make them use a custom ship.
for this,i found a tutorial,and i found out that i also have to edit loadouts.ini and npcships.ini.

in npcships.ini,i added this:

ehmm...how can i make new control buttons? and how can i set their function? (strafe up/strafe down,etc.)

I don't think you can make new ones. If you want some additional keys though, check out the Extended Key Set by Aegir here.

how can i make a weapon fire multiple shots? (i wanna try to make a gattling laser...just like in SL.and yes,i read the tutorial,but there is nothing about guns,only missiles)

another question

i found some 'new' thruster effects (they aren't used in the game - bretonia,liberty,rheinland and kusari,the ones used in-game are the civilian ones).so,how can i make them work,i mean which files need to be edited? (i edited st_good and st_equip so far,is there anything else?)

and another question

when in turret view mode,flying a kusari gunboat,something wrong is with the camera,because the ship is very far,at...around 500m.how can i fix this?

Is the zone bigger than the planet? You can tell how big a planet is by the name of it's CMP file from it's [Solar entry in SolarArch.ini. If it's called planet_med_2000, then it's probably 2000m in radius. So you'd want to have a death zone of about 2250.

In the particular universe/system folder where you'll find your planet listed.
If for instance your planet size is 4000, make sure the atmosphere is larger and also "planet_death" about the same size as the atmosphere.

Also, make sure the "damage" is set high enough to hurt a ship.
The default damage is something like only 2,000 which is not enough.
So, you simply manually edit the damage portion to a larger number.
