***Tutorial*** Making Custom Weapons

and suddenly EVERYBODY makes weapon models...
god im so mean...

I've tried both tutorials. I've done the main gun for a huge Death Star I've done. It shows up, it's textured, but it will not fire. Was having trouble getting normal turrets on the station to fire until I added a Scanner. So only the custom main gun does not work. Any ideas?
