Wanderer try setting the LOD to "LODranges = 0, 99999, 99999, 99999" that tells freelancer there is only one view and uses your model's one setting.
ive never had it not show on the planet then it does show in space(with me its either not there or its is)
couple of questions -when you go to take off is there a load of weapons just hanging there? when the animation starts does it come out of the ground or any weird and wonderful thing like that ? when you see a movie scene in space does it show the ship (i.e docking rings or jumpgates)?
hydra/ize multiple lods are easy it just means you have to use dds textures.
i also wish people would get over this textures must be in multiples of 8,16 or what the f£%$ ever. they are better in these sizes, but freelancer does not care(it seems to iether use them the way people make them or does some conversion of its own. me i think its the former because of a texture prob i had an it only looked right with this long thin texture). the only thing about naming is the mat file material list must match the material list in milkshape and the material list must correspond to the correct texture name in the texture list. oh and the file that is imported into the texture file bit of the mat can be called anything you want (this is a good thing for checking texture changes).
American Scientists spent millions developing the perfect writing utensil; It writes in Zero-gravity, upside down, under water, in space... The Russians used a Pencil.
