O.K, I have been searching the forum for the solution to this problem for 2 days. The tutorial I need had a link on it that dosn't work...

When I try to edit the shiparch.ini file i get the folowing error. "Access to Crogram Files\Microsoft\Games\Freelancer\DATA\SHIPS\shiparch.ini was denied" I'm think I'm missing a edit program but I this is my first attempt on editing so I'm clueless. Please treat me like an idiot. Help!!!

If I had a nickel for every time someone told me that my idea for melting down coins to make a giant robotic parrot was a bad idea, I would have one kicka$$ giant robotic parrot.

1 - See if you are using the FLMM. In that case, all you have to do is turn off all the mods. Note: FLMM has an option in it to protect files from editing or deleting. Once more, deactivate it.
2 - The attributes of some .ini files was changed to 'read only'. To check it, open properties window (right click with your mouse over the file that you want)uncheck the 'read only' option.
3 - You have the same file in use with other application. Just 'close' that .ini file opened by that program.

I hope that this have some kind of positive use to you!

Me, myself & the others.
