Editing Hardpoints?

I would like to know, is it possible to edit hardpoints on a ship (say a fighter) to a different part like under or on a wingtip of a ship?

The final decision made by a single boy, the dark spirit of a past prince.

Why not?

Yes its possible. I've changed the bwing's 2nd and 4th hardpoints locations. They are not near of the 3 hardpoint now. A bit upwards. The creator made the hardpoints fire angle too wide that the weapons do fire a certain point without facing it. Its been a try&see method but if you get the idea, you can easily guess the coordinates rather than "calculating" them with matrix.

You use UTF editor to open the ships .cmp files. Star Wars ships have only one part of the ship that has hardpoints attached to(or based on) so its easy to edit them. You set the position and orientation parts of the hardpoints under the Revolute tree. Position is the weapons coordinates(position) on the part of the ship. Orientation is the weapon's own axis position like the facing direction.

They are all explained in CW's "** TUTORIAL ** Creating New Hardpoints" topic. Set the forums show topic time setting to last year and it will be displayed at the bottom. Its also been explained in Jackel's "***Tutorial*** Hardpoints ver.2" topic.
