Help for the Awakened MOD Needed

Now, I am not one of the Awakened staff, but I am a someone who has been looking over the information concerning this MOD, and to the best of my knowledge, it IS a real mod in the making....and it will be amazing!

That said, they are looking for help. Any and all help it seems. I will post things that they are interested in getting sent in here. The address to the forums for directly discussing the MOD are at: http://s3.invisionfree.com/The_OF/index.php?

ok we need 1 person to work on this we need an effect for the faction: the Sleepers, the most powerful faction in the game. we need to make an energy torpedo effect. it needs to be bright. perferably yellow, very large blast. everyone who wants to participate send your entries in to [email protected]

OK, thing really went to hell in a handbasket recently concerning this MOD. I have read the massive amount of information people put up against this mod's authenticity, and as I stand, I really am not sure anymore about any of it. I admit, that the reports from both sides of the debate were fascinating, however, it is all now a moot point, as the forums has been taken offline, likely because someone claimed to Invision that they were talking about illegal hacking of the game...somebody threatened to to that awhile ago...if I recall correctly.

Either way, this means that, obviously, they will not be needing any MOD help, so consider his thread a complete waste of forums space ;-)

I was hoping to get more people over to the site with this thread, so that we might se more of an interest, and that the MOD makers would give us some real stuff to see, but alas, it did not work out that way. Whether or not this was real, or one of the most elaborate Freelancer hoaxes I have seen, will probably never be determined 100%

Unless they start up with a wonderful demo for us all to use, it should be best to leave this MOD as a footnote in Freelancers history.
