freelancer.ini not found HELP!!!

I hav FLMM v1.2 and i think i hav a problem. When i load certain mods such as advanced beam weapons and a certain ship pack im not sure which one (im posting from skool ) it gives the directory: c:/Programfiles/MicrosoftGames/Freelancer/EXE/freelancer.ini and says its not found. I looked for the file and it was there just in FLMMBAK format. I can fix this by restoring backups, but i still cant use the mods. For instance, when i load one it gives the directory above, says its not found and crashes, even when its in the right format. On top of that it changes freelancer.ini BACK to FLMMBAK format. When i restore backups after this happening, i can play Freelancer and use mods like nearly invulnerable shields and it works fine, but i still cant use the ones i listed above. I want my mod manager back the way it was (it worked fine with all the mods i downloaded b4 unless the mods conflicted with each other). Will sum1 pls help me?

Hello there, the angel from my nitemare. The shadow in the background of the moor. The unsuspecting victim of darkness in the valley. We can live like Jack and Sally if you want. Where you can always find me. We'll have Halloween on Christmas and in the night we'll wish this never ends, we'll wish this never ends.

I have absolutley no idea what your talking about

Okay - when its in FLMMBAK format, copy that file and then simply rename it (removing the .FLMBAK) to Freelancer.ini again and try it then..........

Apart from that, its not found usually cause its been deleted, which means try a re-install.

Anyhew - basically if you read the thread stickied by Bakedpotato - which includes additions by myself, you should be working.
