Ooops...

Here you can get help with applying those different MODifications for Freelancer

Ooops...

okay... after installing and running my first batch of MOD's, I seem to have reverted to an earlier version of my main save game: "Switch"

previously, I was level 38, flying a sabre with class ten shields, four Nomad Blasters, two Skyblast B's, Debilitator turret, Ripper mines, adv. flares, adv.thruster and Sunslayer torpedoes, and the game was saved on Freeport 10

after fiddling around with the mods, I'm now level 36 in a Hammerhead with six Wakizashi, Tadpole mines, adv. thruster, adv. flares, calss seven shield, Starkiller launcer, and I'm on the Battleship Nagumo.

does anybody have any idea how this happened, and how I can reverse it? Also, for some reason the "battleship encounters" and "nearly invulnerable shiedls" mod now seem to be permanently active. how can I turn them off?

Switch, every time you deactivate a different mod in your current game, it can change the savegame file. Check your saved ones and use the view at the to to change to details and check the dat/time setting to find the newest one move back to the main saves page. When you activate a new mod, it creates a new folder listing that mod and will keep the saves from that point in it if you deactivate that mod.

right, but what I've been doing is moving my pre-existing save games around the place a lot, and I seem to have entirely lost my best game so far, although It was, I should point out, apparently saved in a combination Epsilon 2 and Battleship encounters folder, which I may have overwritten.

dammit, If I try digging up the earliest unmodded savegame, I'll probably wind up back on the Alaska mission, which will be a serious dissapointment, not to mention a waste of about three days of diamond runs from Dresden to New Tokyo...

*grumble*

Switchblade.

Try to buy a standard freelancer ship, and weapons. Remove all moded cargos. and go to the nearest standard FL planet. save, and deactivate the mod. Copy the saved game file the latest of course, copy that save game file from the combo mod directory. That should work. And i always do it that way. To save me time.
