How do you load a mod on a CD to the Mod Manager?

I have not been able to download the mod for TNG 1.55 full, due to its size of 30MB, because AOL does not support such large file downloads.
Go!zilla was suggested as a way of speeding up downloading, however there is a problem of AOL not letting Go!zilla use their technology!
I cannot afford broadband, being an I.T. student.
I downloaded the TNG 1.55 full & and patch using an Internet Cafe in Bristol, the files were saved to a CD.

My problem is this; How do I load/copy the files from the CD to the mod manager?

I have tried all sorts of different approaches, and yes I have read and tried to use all the other posts that have been suggested by other gamers, without success. I feel depressed!

Best Regards,

Corporal.

P.S. Be kind, I may have intermediate computer skills, but please explain fully.

If you're using FLMM v1.2.1 beta (look in the General Editing forum for a download link), you can just drag-and-drop *.flmod files into the mod list on the main dialog of FLMM.

Thanks, I get that newer version, 1.2.1 beta.
I'll let you know how it goes.

Well, I downloaded it and yes, the new beta version is definately faster, but my original problem still exists.
I'm going to try downloading the TNG version 1.60 next, as the problem of freezing is said to have been corrected.
Whether A.O.L. will allow me to download anything over 16MB is still to be discovered.

On another matter, I was able to download the mod for the Freightliner rp, this is an excellent mod, it has everything I wanted, except TNG!

Best Regards,

Corporal.

I gave up trying to drag and drop the TNG 1.55 Full from the desktop to the FLMOD 1.2.1 Beta 4 and downloaded TNG 1.60 instead. For me, this took just under 2 hours, no freezes - at last. I then dragged and dropped the file into/onto FLMOD 1.2.1.B.4 which worked first time. The new game of TNG 1.60 is the best mod I have played to date, its really cool. The WOW factor is back!
