help with save games editor

i must have like 15 save games so far and not one of them shows up in the editor. for that matter where are my save games. the seems to be no folder dedicated to saves at all. the only thing that i can "edit" is the newplayer.fl file and unsuccessfully at that. and it always shows up with the same scripting as if i were to start a whole new game

the only mod I have running is the rebalance 1.9 and patch.

any light shed on my mystery here would help

ok new developments. found some savegames in my My Documents folder so i attempted to edit them only they dont take effect within the game

well i give up. the editor just doesnt work and any changes i make are not decoded into a save game file.

heaven forbid someone include an FAQ or instructions with their work

at least u can open it. for me, i get an error message when i open the program.
