yeah, this is a tough decision. What I think I'll end up doing (because I'm confident in my code being bug-free at this point) is releasing the software as-is and I'll let my big red warning label on the editor do the rest

Of course I'll be updating the readme to give better warning about this sort of thing, but this "bug" is just a little to inconsistient to warrant a week of me trying out people's fl files and stepping through code to try and see what's happening with it. I personally haven't had a single problem with edits (save getting booted by my own server for cheating

The software also doesn't like non-North American systems! I've had people telling me that their banners are showing up in Japanese and others say players' time online is something like 111000 hours and stuff. It's quite the gong show, and I wish everything was standard

I still have to look at my game datafiles to make sure I have all the power plants and engines accounted for every ship, but I still believe the program's good to release and people will just have to be careful when editing players and will have to test things a bit on their own servers before going and editing anyone important.
I'm home from work in an hour or so, and I'll send the program to Baked again in about 5 or 6 hours when I've double-checked everything. AGAIN. Which makes it about a penta-check by now. Heh...
