Desktop crashes

My full FL game crashes to desktop just after seeing the splash. The screen goes black, then back to desktop. I have latest drivers, DX9 is installed.
System:
1.7 P4
256 RAM
Leadtek GeForce 4
Sound Blaster Live!

Please help me. I have tried reinstalling but it does nothing

The exact same thing happens to me, except the screen doesn't go black. It's just the splash, then the desktop. I have a PIII 667 Mhz with 128 MB RAM and a 32 MB NVidia TNT2 video card. It was working perfectly two hours ago. Now, all of a sudden, I can't even start the game. It's been less than a week since I bought this game. Now, I have no sound on my comp AT ALL.

Thank you,
Raptor013

I have the same exact problem. We seem to share an SB Live! card in common.

Make sure all your drivers are up-to-date. And be sure to check out previous threads.. I think some people have had probs with the SB Live cards and they have fixes for them. So check out other threads.

Someone else had the same problem with the Vibra 128. Check one of the other threads.

I probably should mention that i fixed this problem a few days ago?

Heres what i had to do:
Take the movies out of start up by removing the lines of code from Freelance.ini
I then had to load up regedit, and delete something....then i installed a WMPDIST.exe from the FL cd. I still cant whatch the moives, but everything eles works fine

Well I fixed mine. I went to Data, them movies, and removed fl_intro and da_logo_final. Worked perfectly.
