Static Noise all over the game

I had the codec problem, and that fix worked perfectly, but now there is another problem, and i think is even meaner than the first....

I got static noise all over the game in dialogs and things like that, and it's damn anoying, and i dunno what to do about it...

Here's a spec on my system...

P4 2000
Soundblaster Live! Value
Geforce 4 128

i only include things that i think are important to understand my problem better...

PLEASE HELP ME IT*S GOD DAMN ANOYING!!!!!!!!

Here's a fix for you, literally 8)

D/l and install this driver, will solve your static problem for you. It solved mine and i have the exact same card:

http://download.creative.com/software/w ... Update.exe

This is assuming your running XP/2000, if not find the same driver version for the OS you have.

Hope it works

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the darkness at Tan Hauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain. Time to die.

I also *occasionally* get this with win98se and a vibra 128, but simply closing FL and loading it up again clears the problem.

*shrug*

Yeah the latest SBLive drivers fixed it for me, I'm now able to crank my hardware accelleration to full in dxdiag. What a stupid bug. I mean SBLIve cards aren't the least common cards out there or anything...
