Game has trouble with my Inspiron 8000. Help?
Hey all, here are my stats of my computer.
Pentium 4 1Ghz
256 Mb Ram
32Mb ATI Mobility M4 video card
Now, my computer should be able to run it fine, and it does for the most part, but only after I tune down the settings like a mother. If I want to change resolutions that is another story, I usually have to go into the freelancer file in the my documents folder and manually edit the preferences document cause whenever I try to change resolutions in the game, the screen goes black and sits there for eternity with the backround music still playing. I have begun to think that it is my video card from hell because my roomate has the same computer as I do, only a 32 nVidia card instead of ATI, his works fine at 1024x768 32bit with performance all the way up. I was just wondering if anyone out there could shine their eternal wisdom down upon me or am I going to have to break down and buy a new computer just to make freelancer look pretty without immense slow downs acrossed the board.
