I don't use an AMD system but I see a lot of problems with the VIA chipset in other games like Battlefield 1942 which sometimes crashes to the desktop... It seems a lot of times people are able to fix the problems with new 4in1 drivers... Are yours current?

good luck

My game crashed after the opening sequence in Freeport7, before loading the scene where Trent arrived in Manhattan. Didn't know why, 'cuz the trial ran fine.

However, now it works, after Norton Disk Doctor found several errors (MANY lost clusters, invalid directory entries etc.) and fixed them. Don't think it's my harddisk, because it happens only after installing FL, also after installing the Trial NDD found some errors (but not nearly as many as in the full version)...
