Crashing

I just got my copy of freelancer, however, at random points while playing the game will just crash to windows. plz help.
My specs are:
AMD Athlon 2000
Asus A7V333 motherboard with on board sound
Radeon 9000 pro 128 mb video card
256 mb DDR ram
Lite-on 40x12x48x cd burner
Western DIgital 60 gb 7200 rpm 8 mb cache HD.

Same problem, sometimes dxdiag pop-up
have you ever installer a beta verison of directx ?

I ran dxdiag and it said netdtect.dll was not found and that reinstalling this application might fix this. what application?

Try reinstalling Directx

or goto www.microsoft.com/directx to troubleshoot it.

thanks man, reinstalling directx 9 appears to have fixed my prob.
