MP server crashing!?!
it seems to only happen after playing for a few hours. my mate is to damn lazy to start the game with the crap-beginner ship,
so i have to make a serious money run. after a few hours when i have an OK ship and 500k to spare and are ready to invite him in, (for free cash and some exploring killing looting).
i turn off server and make it internet accessible (not always, but i always turn it off to save my new char somewhere on my HD). after server is downed once I always get problems with the jump gates!.. the server just crashes at jumpgates, or jump holes.. always! been taking up 4 chars to lvl 25+ just for my lazy loser mate. game only crashes in MP when running server myself, and entering gates/holes.. why?? so annoying to make money runs in a silly star..crapper or what they are called. i'm sick of it. i wanna play the game multi and have fun!
anyone else having the same probs?
(the single game was ok but i had probs with the sound bug for a long while, no other probs there)
my comp is something like:
amd 1400
256 ram
gf2 200/400
(some crappy ac 97 soundcard)
P.S. don't tell me to leave server on 24/7 i sometimes have to turn it off
P.S.2 don't tell me to force him to get his own ship, he's really lazy!!
there's no reason to kill yourself.. as long as you can make others suffer
[ forgot to say i run winxp, and have tried even the "cracked" .exe, to see if there was some cd probs (since the error report in the console nags about e:\fl\scratch something most the time (not from where i installed it))
