Graphics Not So Good???

I've been watching all the previews and screenshots of this game while it's been in the works. The graphics looked fairly good, although a bit blocky. But I was noticing in screenshots taken from 2 months ago in previews, and the game I just bought look slightly different. The lighting in some of the interior/planet shots looks much better on the screenshots then on my system. And some of the textures look better too. I am running

P4 1.6 gHz
Geforce 4 TI 4400

I know the Geforce 4's aren't directx 9 compatible, so could that be an issue? Or is there some setting/config file I can adjust to get it to look better?

there was a post in a different thread about a Texture Sharpness option in the NVidia options that was causing textures to look bad.

First, go into your video card's advanced settings (right-click on desktop...properties-settings-advanced-GF4-Additional properties).
Make sure that under the Direct 3D tab, the "mipmap detail level" is set to BEST IMAGE QUALITY. Then, under the 3D Antialiasing Settings Tab, select "Quincunx" and hit apply. If you experience any FPS drop off during the game you may want to set AA to 2x, though with your card, you should be fine with Quincunx.

Hope that helps.

The game runs well...really well. It's just the graphic quality I've seen in screenshots, even recent screenshots, doesn't match the quality I'm getting. I'll try the suggestions from above and see if that doesn't add something to the game. Thanks!
