The Radeon problem

Hello all

Well the time has finally arrived. Marvellous

I have a Radeon Atlantis 9100. I upgraded specially for FL before I knew about the problem. I have read that the problem is on the 9700 series, will this affect mine? If so, will you be announcing on this site when the updated ATI drivers are available?

I tell you what else might be good, if you could manage to get a poll going on what career you will, or have chosen. Me, I'm going to be a Clint Eastwood style Bounty Hunter. Bye for now.

It should affect all Radeon cards unfortunately, as it's a bug in the Catalyst drivers. New drivers should be arriving from ATI soon and they should include fixes for the stuttering and text issues with all Radeon cards. For now, I've heard that you're supposed to lower your hardware acceleration by one notch to temporarily fix these problems.

The fix works really well, I didn't notice a dfifference in the graphics

Its really not a huge problem. Besides, it will be fixed in the next driver release. Lowering the hardware acceleration slider down a notch fixes it for now. All that does really is disable hardware mouse, and I think a few other things that don't have much to do with games.

Yes, the temp fix works really well. All it does it turns off harware cursor. Nothing else. So no big deal really.
