I've found a minor glitch. It's not a big deal because I have a work-around but I thought it worth reporting. I'm using the PR beta so it could be a fixed bug in the gold version.

Twice I've had the screen go black when the scene was changing. I think the first time I was in space and after hitting a few keys it came back on. This time I'm standing in the bar at California Minor and talking to the rep about job offer. Instead of the screen changing to the job description, it went black. I still have sound and the game is obviously not locked up. I got out of it by forcing the screen to change, i.e., I hit escape and declined his offer and the bar scene came back. I went right back to him and had no problem.

My system:
PIII-933
GeForce4 Ti4600
SB Live Gamer 5.1
Dx9 and all the latest drivers
game detail levels at defaults (~80%-90% of scale)

***edit*** Just an update - I typed this message on one pc while the game was playing on a diff pc. The screen blacked out again because I just left it sitting in that job description screen. ESC brings it back every time. Very weird...
