Missing Components

I downloaded the demo from the official site and everything went smooth. I have the latest DX9 update and all, but when I run the demo, it says it's missing arequired .DLL file - DINPUT8.DLL Does anyone else have this problem and does anyone know how to fix this problem? At the moment I'm downloading the demo from a mirror on another third-party site. I'm hoping it'll have everything.

Also, the system requirements say the full version requires a CD/DVD-ROM. I don't have a DVD-ROM of any sort. I have a CD-RW dive. Does that mean I can't play the game? Or at least, not until someone develops a patch to jump the CD requirement?

DINPUT8.DLL sounds like maybe a Direct X DLL file... If you installed DX9 it should be there. And no you do NOT need a DVD-ROM to play the game.

Umm I'll see if I can find this DLL file and I could send it to you maybe?? If you want me to leave your email.

I would greatly appreciate that, Darkside. It's [email protected]. I'm gonna try re-installing the DX9 update to see if it fixes it but I welcome your help as well. And thanks for dispelling my fears of a DVD-ROM necessity. My life has regained its meaning and for that I thank you.
