unable to init strategy

I just downloaded the game from fileplanet. After the install goes just fine and i click on PLAY i get an error message "unable to init strategy".

Can anyone help with this please ?

I have a 2ghz p4
512m ram
geforce4 mx440
windows xp
and all the latest updates to video, windows etc etc.
