i have a toshiba sat pro a100-cs3 with an intel 945GM graphics running win vista business. My text is a little better since upgrading to the latest drives but far from playable...

Freaky... My laptop is a Satellite a100 too... I'm running Xp media edition though. Possible that Vista is the problem? I upgraded my graphics drivers at one point, downloaded 'em off of Intel's site, file is called "win2k_xp142550", if that helps anyone.

latest for vista is Intel-945GM-Vista_154-1255... didnt help my issue much, i was thinking of dual booting xp for test perposes, i agree i think its vista too...

just a thought, what's the exact model of your laptop?

Dear dear dear. I had the problem with the text bounce and the system crash and then the vanishing text...and to fix I had to buy a new graphics card. Mine was an 8MNB, is noq 16MB.
