freelancer not running on xp media

Is there a known issue with xp media that I need to rectify, if so please tell me what it is so that I can once again play this great game.

I have Windows Media Center Edition and Freelancer works fine for me.

It works fine for me too on Media Center, it's prolly a hardware issue. What are your system specs?
