strange prob when d/loading mod

I've been trying to download the crossfire mod from both lancer's and the crossfire website and it gets to around 40-60% complete and then I see a Windows "Copying file to....." and then the download says complete. But I know that the size is 81.8 Mb or something but I only have anywhere from 30-70ish Mb of the file.

When I mouse over the zip file I get a "No Zip file, bad Zip file or part of a spanned/split zip file" message. Is this problem from my end or from the download sites or something else?

Any help appreciated.

dunno why there is such a problem but ive a solution... use a download manager like flashget.... then it will work

Yup.....d/loaded Flashget and that seemed to solve the problem. Cheers for the help.

I'm sooo slow, I often get this with normal browsers such as IE or AOL even. Using Firefox or Opera will not have the same issue though. They completely download anything (certainly when it comes in at over 5mb!), whereas IE or AOL gives an error halfway through loading of "the connection to the server has been reset".

In all honesty, I dunno what may cause the trouble, but if you aren't using Firefox or Opera, I'd strongly suggest to give it a go!

Or continue to use the download manager of course
