Install Issues

Ok. I am running windows 2000 pro SP4 and can not install freelancer. Everytime I do I get an error that ebu(random letter or number).exe has generated errors and is being closed by windows. I have reinstalled windows 3 times everytime a clean install and all my drivers are up to date...no spyware...no viri...nothing...clean...all updates installed...HELP!!!!PLEASE!!!

edit - no all caps in the subject please, is shouting.

Check your disk, does it have scratches? is it a proper disk? are you sure your system can hold freelancer? do you have enough disk space? check all these sorts of things.
