Exiting Multiplayer cause PC Lockup

I have an issue which started this past weekend. When in multiplayer and exiting from play to the server list or the main menu. Freelancer locks up. Sometimes you can ALT-CTRL-DEL and end the unresposive program. But usually it locks up the computer and requires a power-off. I have checked HD space and have about 1.5 gig left on the c drive. I have also tried shutting down some some of the memory resident programs. I have been playing since July with no problems, until this weekend. I play on the RAW server which runs the boston server side mod. I have no mods on my computer.

Any ideas would be appreciated, I am trying to avoid a reinstall of the programs.

You're not the only one that has said they are having trouble with RAW...
Maybe you might want to contact the people that run the RAW Server.

I think RAW should read this, it seems they have some problems with there server. Maybe RAW should undergo some maintanence or a clean-up.

This problem is not just happening for me on the RAW server, but happened on two other servers also. The Boston Server was one of the other servers, I think the MC servers was the third. These are the only servers I have tried.

I experience lockups too, but they ususallt go away in about a minuite, I dont like to turn off the computer w/o shutting it down. Just watch TV for a little while.

I've just played on RAW and haven't had any problems with it, the only thing I did notice was the yellow connection warning appeared a lot, and a heck of a lot of people coming and going (F1 trick). If you guys are on a slower connection this could be your problem.

i used to play on raw, it is an extremely laggy server, and there are many server shutdowns due to large numbers of people. the judges are too serious, but are often unjust. and yes, it has often made my pc freeze.
