Afterburn doens''t work

Hi!

I'm playing Freelancer for a while, already finished the story, and today suddenly the Afterburn button just don't respown. If I click Tab, nothing happens.

But the interesting thing is that in earlier saves, like if I load the "Land on battleship Osiris" save, the Afterburn works fine...

Already tried to:

-Change the button
-Uninstall DataStorm
-Reinstall the game (ofcourse keeping the saves)
-Deleting the "PerfOptions.ini" file and the other one in My documents->blablabla

Nothing works!!!
This is really important, I can't play like this!

Does some1 know how to fix this??

i assue you mean thrusters
if so have you got a thruster mounted
you may have accidentaly sold it or dismounted it
just a thought
