Again, FLICKERING BUTTONS AND TEXT problem..

Hi, i´ve looked all over the forums, and couldn´t find an straight awnser to this problem regarding S3 Savage4(8mb, my video card), or SiS video cards(32mb, going to buy one next week).

I have this S3 Savage4 video card, and it´s even listed at flconfigdatabase.txt, and i did all that editing in that file, but i still couldn´t fix the problem.

I have seen one of the members saying that he was able to play the game in an savage4 with no problems, so, i´ll 'bow' before anybody that could help me out with this!!

At 8Mb you are under the required specs, also the savage listed is the Savage4 ProSavage
If you had to add anything to the file to put yours in, then I would suggest that it really isn't compatible for the game. Below is a list of the features it cannot handle, and deleting the list doesn't mean it will handle them... it means it will cock it up instead.

FL_BAD_WFOG
FL_BAD_DXTN
FL_BAD_MOD2X
NoParallelism
NoTriLinear

I think your best bet is that 32Mb card, but in honesty, you should try and stretch to a 64Mb card minimum - because you will struggle with many games otherwise. They are as cheap as chips these days... get em for about $30 or so.

yeah you do need a new card, old ones give you that fickering text problem among many other problems
