Multiplayer is screwing up, Please Help!!!

Ok, I've beaten freelancer, and now i want to play online. All the servers come up, i can create a character and everything. It then says loading, it's about to connect to teh server, but then the game justs quits. I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

Do you have any mods activated, and do they match the ones, if any, on the servers?

I don't have any mods active and I read the other guys problem. I've tried opening ports, turning off norton, etc, etc. But nothing works! And I don't lose a connection, I just get quit from the game.

Here is another thought. Make sure you check the servers to see if their version of freelancer is the same as yours.

right click " My Computer " choose Properties .. systemprops window opens choose Performance Tab then choose Advanced .. from there go to Data Execution Prevention And add the freelancer application to the exeptions list,

With the Addition of SP2 their have been many funny probs with lancer and other games this seems to help ,,, it may not be a fix for u but it has fixed several of my friends who were being inexplicably booted out of online games... hope it helps
