How to change language

Hi all,
i have a big problem. I installed the FL-Server and choosed accidently German as installation language. I deinstalled FL and wanted to reinstall but now it doesnt ask anymore for the language. The setup starts with german now. What can i do to fix this?

This wont help me much, i can speak german, but ioncross FL Server Operator doesnt wrok with the German server version

You will need to delete the Freelancer folder on your C: drive as well. Then do a reinstall.

I deleted the my documetny/my games/freelancer folder, is there another one?

Yeah there is - the folder into which you installed the game. In most cases, this is someting like C:\Program Files\Freelancer.

Or, on german Windows installations, more likely C:\Programme\Freelancer.

Yeah this was on d:\freelancer for me, i deleted this too.

Someone told me the box where you can choose the language only affects the setup language not the game? Is this right? I dont now what language the Image has, a friend took an image from his CD and uploaded it for me, bechause he has a better connection...

I'm not sure, but most probably it is.

Maybe you should ask your friend - he ought to know what language version he owns.

Ok he told me he uploaded a german image, so there is no way for changing language?

If you have the disk in hand, and you have deleted the program folders and do a full reinstall, all should be in english, files and program. If you don't have the CD, then get one, as anything other than having the disk, is piracy.

@Finalday, the problem is my friend uploaded an image of his freelancer CD to our Server in the Servercentre. We emulate CD drive with Deamon-Tools there, because we dont have physical access to the server.
It took us 6 hours to upload the image. Thats why i ask if there is a way to change the language of the German Version.

I could upload my english image, but that would take me 10 hours... but it seems thats the only way
