Seriously, i need help. Fk:ing mission bug

Ok, i have been stuck in lvl 27 for about 10 playing hours now and i am worth about 1,000,000 c and have completed over 100 missions. I have also re-installed and un-installed the games several times but it still wont work. I have also tried searching the site for useful info but i have done the things that they say i should do. Does anyone have some kind of patch i can have. Although it was a patch that started it all.

What patch started it all? Did you install the FL v1.1 patch?

And what does the game show as requirement for leveling up? Is it 'mission' all the time or only sometimes?

Sounds like this should be moved.

It looks like you have installed the FL v1.1 patch on a FL client (playing FL but not running a FL server) doing SP (Single Player). If so you should not apply the patch to the FL client as it messes with SP and MP. The patch is for FL servers only.

Search the FL Technical Issues forum for lots of info sprinkled about.

I think I downloaded the FL 1,1 patch and yes, It says that I require a mission to gain level.

As Earendil said, it's most probably due to the v1.1 patch which seems to do that kind of thing. So you'd best reinstall the original version 1.0 only and see what happens then. Guides how to do this without losing saved games are here in the forum.

And even if it works correctly, v1.0 sometimes says you need a mission to level up. Otherwise, it gives you the additional worth you need for the next level.

I am having the same sort of problem. I thought v1.1 would fix bugs or something not make more..

Do you folks know where to find the saved files for FL? I dont want to start all over again when i reinstall.

In a subfolder of your own files folder, namely 'My Games\Freelancer\Accts\Singleplayer'. A forum search through the technical issues forum for 'save file' helps too.
