Freelancer Freezes for a minute or two at a time

Ok, freelancer used to work fine, even though i had a processer too slow to run it..

it worked fine for a few weeks (long enough for me to beat the game)
but then the graphics started to flicker horribly, and eventually, it began to freeze for two or three minutes at a time with approx. 1 minute intervals between freezing.
While the game is frozen, the music still plays in the background.

this could possibly have come after i tried to update to the newest Nvidia Drivers, and failed horribly..luckily i was able to revert back to the old ones.

could that have changed any settings?

Thanks

Any more info, Ie Ram, video ram and so forth. And what setting you are using for the game. It may be just too much for the system.

um.alright
i didnt figure the system information would matter that much, considering it ran perfectly before..
(these dont meet the specifications of the game..i know)
Lets see..
128 megs of SdRam
64 Megs Video Ram Nvidia GeForce
466 mhz Celeron

i had it running on its "default" setting, i tried running it on its lowest, but it doesnt help at all

I would personally try to uninstall your nvidia drivers, and then reinstall the original ones you had. It shouldn't be a problem for your computer at all to do this, and its probabily worth a shot

I had to do that anyway to keep the computer running.
It didnt help at all.

Any other suggestions?
