This really sux...plz help?

This problem was caused by my stupidity.

I attempted to create a mod, basing it on a multiplayer one that alters the starting point in the game. I wanted to edit it a little and make it so the starting point and starting money got changed. So I altered it and saved it as "Imp. Outcast Mod" in my FLMM. I activated it, started a LAN server, and tried to join. The game wouldn't let me on though, it kept saying that the server was experiencing errors. I shut down Freelancer and the server, and then I tried to start up a new server but the same problem happened. I figured I screwed up my mod so I deactivated it (after shuting down the game and the server). Unfortunatly, I can nvr start up Freelancer anymore. Whenever I start the game, even without any mods, it ends the program as soon as it gets past the credits.

Is there anything I can do to return my game to normal?

Reinstall??

Thats what i have done in any "other" game i have played... you should be able to copy any saved games out to make sure they arent lost... but a reinstall should just replace existing game files...

I would try deleting all your saved single and multi player game files first. A full reinstall may still be required but deleteing the saved games fixes a lot of errors.

(Assuming Win XP of some flavor here)
Delete
My Documents\My Games\Freelancer

The entire directory and everything in it, then try running your game again.

thanx 2 both of u

I reinstalled but that didn't work so I deleted the FLMM autosave but that didn't work. I followed ur instructions by deleting the files (I didn't have XP so it took me a while 2 find) and I uninstalled, then installed. Thanx 2 u it works fine. Dude, ur my hero! lol XD

once again thanx
