New bug? LSF destroys you in 1 second...

Ok, I got to the story part where the LSF is out to get me...

So when I launch into space, the battleship and fighters are ALREADY firing at me during the conversation between me and Juni - a point where you can't defend yourself and can take no action.

As soon as the action starts, I'm dead. All those missles and beams simply blast me apart no matter how many times I am pressing my shields and nanobots (just to give me a chance)... Takes about 1 second for me to die.

I have reloaded this a dozen times and it's always the same. I can't help but feel that if the ships were not attacking until AFTER the story stops and releases the control, that I could manage to stay alive long enough to continue.

Anyone know how to get around this bug?

Sounds mysterious! However, do you use your thruster, engine kill, strafe to avoid all fire at all costs? Also - what ship are you flying if I may ask? We could always help you 'cheat' your way around it.....

I have the Corsair.
I have tried using the Cruise, thrusting, strafing left and right... All while popping my shield regens and it still doesn't make a difference. As soon as I can move, I am hit by enough missles and firepower that my ship blows right away. And I have the best shields I can get.

I was trying to load the God shield mod, but it won't load with the TNG mod loaded. I tried this all night til about 5am... Pissing me off that this bug is in such a good game.

Corrected info...

I have a "Eagle" heavy fighter. I've noticed that in the TNG mod, places that you supposedly can get ships are all incorrect, or the ships don't exist there, etc... I'd like to get a lightly bigger ship, with better shielding, and then meet Juni on Manhatten.

I went backa few missions so that I am doing other things, but Juni is waiting on Manhatten for me (which is where the "Kill you during storyline movie" problems start) so I'm avoiding it right now.

Did you look at the link? It specifically states that you need God mode to survive mission 4, the one you are stuck on. Check out the link and follow the instructions.

My last response had nothing to do with the "link" post. It was a correction of information pertaining to where I was in the game, my ship and what I was doing.

Yes, I looked at the link after I concluded my post. Yes, God-mode did get me through that, thanks.

Now I found that I have to beat Hovis in the race, but if I win nothing happens, if Hovis wins then he gives me another chance and if he win's again nothing happens or if I win nothing happens... Its like the game has got these pactches or bad code or something... Its very frustrating. i've beaten him 4 times and nada... And somehow I lost Juni...

Tried the Hovis hex hack - nada... Tried a lot of suggestions, but I simply can't beat this guy and win. Grrr...

Finally!

I had to copy my save games, reinstall, and finally after 3 tries I could beat Hovis and it took!

Whew... I never seen so many bugs.
