graphic gard

hi
i have just replaced my old pc with a new one
but freelancer locks up after 4 min of the game starting
my graphic card is a
ATI radeon x 600 pro 256mb ddr-ram memory
i have tried new drivers and all the help on the microsoft pages

can anyone help

Are you running any mods on it?
Does the computer shut down or just the program?

just the game ,it stops and i have to switch the pc off and restart.
i am running windows xp

Have you tried any other games? I get this with my 9800 radeon pro - but its with any game. The VDU recover has to unfreeze the accelerator or something, then it works again..

Could be the same problem, and as of yet I have not found a cure.....
it could be:
Hardware conflict
Direct X conflict (although dxdiag says everything is fine).
