Lan / Client connection issues

I started up a Server for me and my son to play MP with Mods, we tried starting the server with the same mods we were using on the clients, namely Advanced Beam Weapons, Gundam Missiles, Speed Mod and Garnork Ship Add-On, We got in the game once, bot of us, 2 clients on the server np, then i went and changed the starting amount and the enemies section on the server and ever since then we can connect anymore, the clients crash with the message that cheating has been been detected, we and fine, how do i turn that off? can i not allow cheating if i want to ? Even now that i turned off all the mods and replaced the original values back in the ini file i changed i still cant connect to the Server without getting the same cheating errors and booted , I tried searching the forum for similar problems and couldn't find any answers there, please help to get me back up and running, preferably with the mods enabled if possible , but at least back to normal if not....

Are you saying the clients actually crash? Or is it they get kicked from the server instead? Should be the latter.

First, you cannot turn off the cheat detection in flserver (not any way I know of). There is LESS cheat detection WITHOUT the FL patch v1.1 though. You could use a patchless setup but that isn't as good because of the enhanced cheat detection, plugging a memory leak, more stability, and a few other things you'll be missing.

As for your problem, it's with the FL MP saved game files! Something has been placed into your character files that flserver does not like. A reinstalled flserver does nothing for your characters. I suggest you start over with new characters and delete the old ones.

what do you mean "the enemies section"? This sounds like it may be your problem.

I assumed Crazy Canuck meant the reputations of the original "enemy" factions like Liberty Rogues, Outcasts, etc. Yet they says they did that to server files. I would believe if the server INIs were changed then the server should have crashed or errored when started and not when a character logs on. Just an assumption though.
