no ****ing sound

I don't have any sound in Freelancer outside of the opening videos. I have no idea how to fix it. Tech support suggested I download a new driver for my sound card, but i have no internet and won't be able to download anything that dosn't fit on a floppy disk. I really enjoy this game and wound very much like to have sound.

What kind of sound card? Many have downloads that can be put on disk(s).

I think it's a codec issue. Search the forums, I had this issue and had to change something in my registry.
