won''t recognize video card

I have a disk installed freelancer program, but it was installed on a exterior hard drive. We hooked it into another computer to run, but it won't recognize the video card. I downloaded new NVIDIA drivers, but it still has problems, Short of reinstalling it what can I do?

Can you not install the game on the on-board hard drive? What is the card you have, type, mem?
