GeForce 4 ti4400 and graphics glitching

Hey, i recently installed freelancer again on my pc, however, this time the graphics go alll glitchy (as in the background will keep dissappearing then reappearing, the ships go inivisible, i cant see docking rings, etc)

I have previously played FL on the same machine, however i had a different stick of ram, older drivers, older mobo and cpu.

At current i have a 2.8p4, asus p4800 mobo, 512 ddr, geforce 4 ti 4400

previously the game ran fine, no problems. However when i try to play now, it goes all glitchy (as i have said)

what really baffles me is that my gf has a gf4 ti 4600, same drivers etc as me, and yet has no problems?!

anyone know WTF is going on?

Just incase anyone was wondering, i managed to fix this problem...

i installed dx9 again (about 3 times) and my graphics drivers but this didnt seem to work.

however, i have winamp 5 starting up with windows, and because i use hotkeys, it has to stay on top otherwise it keeps maxmising (if i send it to the tray) so, i keep winamp on while playing freelancer. im using the MMD3 skin so its barely visible up the top, this seems to have fixed the flickering!!!!!!!

although there is a tiny bit of flickering where winamp is, not much tho

Try updateing your MOBO chipset drivers as well as your video card drivers. I had to do this when I was running a Ti4600 card. Good luck
