Sound issues from AC97 causes game issues.
Just a FYI.
I recently got a GA-81PE1000 series MB, (P4) and my FL went lag city in SP even.
Every second or so, the game would pause. Nothing seemed to help. Then I disabled
the built-in AC97 sound chip , and problem went away. I found a newer driver on
the MB website, and while some of the problem is gone, it still stinks.
If you have a AC97 codec and problems with FL, check for patches or get a new
sound card, the thing stinks.
